Welcome to Divide by Zero!
We're an intermediate literate roleplay set in an alternate world to our own. In this, superpowers are constantly popping up and the empowered need to learn about their own powers. There are many causes for the formation of powers. Some are just born with it, while others have obtained them from aliens, and others still from meteors of a certain unidentified chemical makeup, not to mention a mysterious monolith moving from place to place. A giant influx of powers came from a meteor strike, emitting as of yet unknown energy, forming powers in a select few. And there are still many sources yet to be found, and so many more powers coming around.
Fortunately, 3 schools have been established; the Manumit School for the Empowered, the Prandial Prepatory Academy, and the Fetter's Institute of Research. The Manumit School exists for teaching students to harness their powers, Prandial for teaching control, while Fetter's is around to research powers to understand them and obtain an amiable relationship with the unempowered.
Being a student at one of these three schools has it's costs, however. Monsters, people whose powers have gone wrong, are constantly appearing, along with rogue empowered and aliens. These are constantly threatening world order, so the schools dispatch students on dangerous missions to quell them and restore order to the world.
We're a fledgling board at this point, so we're still getting everything in order. We also need staff members to give us a hand, so if you want to, drop us an application. Regardless, stay around with us and have some fun!!

Palace of Prestige Every once in a while the schools get together to have a series of spars. To hold such events, the Palace of Prestige was built. Not unlike a large football area, the Palace holds many "friendly" battles between the students. Although there is an agreement amongst the campuses, while unsanctioned fights aren't permitted, students still fight in here all the time. Moderators: Namie, The Sidhe, Rylux

Korean Nuclear Containment Zone Due to unsafe practices in the shipping and handling of nuclear weapons and fuel rods thanks to a mad despot of a ruler, a chain reaction of nuclear explosions rocked the country. It's mostly safe now, but pockets of radiation still exist, and entering the zone is prohibited unless one has a very, very good reason. Infrastructure still hasn't been replaced, making this as much a Mad Max world as you'd imagine. Moderators: Namie, The Sidhe, Rylux
TERRY THE DOOR RUG Please, wipe your dirty mud encrusted shoes on me. I'm Terry the Door Rug, in no way related to Terry the C-Box! Come to me to say hello and goodbye, or to announce a brief departure! Moderators: Namie, The Sidhe, Rylux
